TTT: Books that could be Crayola Crayon Colours

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme, created by The Broke and Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is Book Titles That Sound Like They Could Be Crayola Crayon Colors. To make it easier for myself I used my TBR list as a starting point. Luckily I have a lot to take from ;P

Me adding more books to my TBR

If you didn’t know, apparently Crayola has some unique names for some of their colours. For example, we have the Outer Space, Razzmatazz, Manatee, and my favourite, the Fuzzy Wuzzy. There are also names such as Permanent Geranium Lake, Wild Blue Yonder and Tickle Me Pink. I tried keeping some of these names in mind while going through my TBR and tried to imagine that these names I found were colours.

Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers
I’m imagining something golden and sweet.

Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
I haven’t read the book just yet, but I am thinking the colour is something along the line of burgundy.

Dead Space by Kali Wallace
When I think space, I think galaxies and puprle-ish colours – so perhaps dead space is some kind of muted purple gravitating towards a dark grey with a hint of purple.

Skyward Inn by Aliya Whiteley
This, I imagine, is the colour of the sky after a long road trip. The sun is setting and it’s getting darker.

Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch
Now, I haven’t been to London, but this made me think of big cities, traffic and smog. The colour is basically pollution.

All Systems Red by Martha Wells
An alarmingly red colour.

Birds of Paradise by Oliver K. Langmead
I’m imagining that these are colourful beautiful birds. This particular bird for this colour is beautiful yellow with a warm orange/red undertone.

Fluke by James Herbert
I’ve seen a movie based on this book. A colour that comes to mind is sad depressing blue.

Fid’s Crusade by David H. Reiss
A powerful red colour, ready to punch you in the face!

The Shape of Water by Guillermo del Toro and Daniel Kraus
The lovely colour of the sea in Greenland during a chill summer day with the sun reflecting off of the waves.

What colours have you found in your book titles? 😀

Cute pink nose! I need that nose as a Crayola Crayon colour!
