May 2021 Wrap-Up

It’s already time for a monthly wrap-up! This month has been weird – both feeling like it all went so slowly, but over so fast! I’ve started an exciting bookkeeping job (exciting for me ;P) it’s only temporary, but there might be an opportunity for me to get a steady hire. Trying not to be too hopeful, because I really like the workplace, my co-workers and a whole lot of other things, but I’ll be so disappointed if I don’t get to stay…perhaps a little sad and broken… So I don’t wanna get too hopeful. I’ll enjoy the work, my co-workers and the experience!

While April was a month for a lot of reading and buying lots of books – May has been not completely dead on that front, but definitely not as active.

YouTube Recommendations

Flossy Carter

I just really enjoy his tech videos. Plus, his cat, White Shoes, works very hard to make sure all of the cables are working!

Jesse Cox with Scary Game Squad

I have been a fan of Jesse’s for many years and my fave videos are him and his Scary Game Squad playing scary games! In this series of Resident Evil 8 Village gameplay, you’ll experience a member of the squad wooing a very tall lady.

David Bowie!

I just really love his music.

The blog posts I’d like to share:

Animal of the Month

The Humboldt Squid

Very cool and very dangerous.

The Humboldt squid (Dosidicus gigas), also known as jumbo squid or jumbo flying squid, is a large, predatory squid living in the eastern Pacific Ocean. It is the only known species of the genus Dosidicus of the subfamily Ommastrephinae, family Ommastrephidae.
Humboldt squid are carnivorous marine invertebrates that move in shoals of up to 1,200 individuals. They swim at speeds up to 24 km/h (15 mph; 13 kn).
Numerous accounts have the squid attacking fishermen and divers.[35] Their coloring and aggressive reputation have earned them the nickname diablos rojos (red devils) from fishermen off the coast of Mexico, as they flash red and white when struggling on a line.
